If someone tells to choose between  government sector or private sector, it is very difficult to take stand for either of these two forms of organisation.  Both the sectors are full of advantages and disadvantages. The performance of selecting job between these two sectors depends on personal views. Government jobs in our country are the most desirable jobs and most of the population wanted to take government jobs instead of choose private job. But with modernization and globalization many multinational companies established in our country. This multinational companies afters handsome package along with other perks and this makes comparison more difficult.

Applying for government job is complicated as compared to private job.  Application forms for government jobs have fixed date of release and submit . Applying for some government job is tough as candidates apply from all over the country. Thus, candidates need good preparation for entrance exam and once candidate clear the exam, they have to appear for a screening interview which is very important for getting a job.

Job security is the main benefit of government job.  Fear of losing job due to minor issues is 0% if you are truly dedicated towards your job. But at the same time the working  environment  in government sector is little bit dull as job security is always there in workers mind  which make them lazy and less of enthusiasm.

In private sector the selection process is totally different. In private sector, candidates don't have to give exam all the time. In private sector graduate can also get chance to show their ability to perform the work. In private sector, selection process is less time consuming as compare to government sector. But in private sector there is a risk off losing job and promotion and growth depend on your performance.

GATE 2022- APPLICATION LINK ACTIVE, APPLY NOW

 

IIT KHARAGPUR has released a notification for GATE 2022. The candidates who are willing to appear in this exam can fill this form. Previous year there were various changes in the GATE examination pattern and eligibility criteria and that changes still prevails this year. With the introduction of third year in the GATE exam and option for giving GATE in two subjects , it attracts various students previous year and hope this trend continues this year. 

GATE is a gateway for various opportunities as a person who appear in GATE exam can take admission for M.Tech in IITs, NITs, IIITs and MS in foreign universities. Various PSUs and SEB(State Electricity Boards) also recruit candidates on the basis of their GATE score. 

GATE 2022 Brief details
•Organizing authority- IIT KHARAGPUR

•Paper mode- CBT(Computer Based Test)
• Gate 2022 will be organised in morning and afternoon shifts on Feb 5th, 6th ,11th and 12th in the year 2022.
• Candidate can appear in One or two papers according to her/his requirement.
•Candidate can appear in only one shift if there is multiple shift of a subject.

Opportunities through GATE

1. Scholarship , Assistantship for PG(Post Graduate ) programmes
 To avail scholarship or Assistanship for these programmes, a candidate has to secure admission in CGI(Central Government Institution) or those who are sponsored by the centre. Various institutes have different process for admission like some institution direct take candidate on the basis of GATE score while others give weightage to both GATE score and the interview in which candidate has to appear. Based on the cutoff and minimum marks, a candidate is given admission in the liable institute.

2. Use of GATE score for employment

Several PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings) use to select candidate on the basis of GATE score followed by interview.
PSUs like IOCL (Indian Oil Corporation Ltd), ONGC(Oil and Natural Gas Corporation) , BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd) , CIL (Coal India Ltd), NTPC ( National Thermal Power Corporation), PGCIL (Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd) etc. shortlisted candidates on the basis of GATE score in past.
Direct recruitment to Group A level posts in Central government, i.e., Senior Field Officer (Tele), 
Senior Research Officer (Crypto) and Senior Research Officer (S&T) in Cabinet Secretariat, 
Government of India, is now being carried out on the basis of GATE score. The details of the scheme 
of recruitment are normally published in National Newspapers / Employment News / Rozgar 
Samachar by the concerned authority. 
Some other Government of India Organizations may also utilize GATE 2022 score for their 
recruitment purpose. 
Candidates should not that appearing in the GATE exam merely not give guarantee for employment. It also depends on their performance in the GATE exam.

Examination Pattern
•Time duration- 3 hours
•Total questions- 65
Out of which 55 questions will be related to subject and 10 questions from GA (General Awareness)
• Type of questions
             1. Multiple Choice Question (+1/2,-1/3 of marks)
            Four options out of which only one correct.
   
           2. Multiple Select Question(+1/2, No negative marking)
Four options in which more than might be correct.

         3. NAT or Numerical Answer Type (+1/2, 0)

•The candidates who are in 3rd year/final year of Engineering or completed Engineering are eligible to apply for GATE 2022.
•The candidate who are in final year of B.Sc or completed it are also elgible to apply for GATE in their respective subjects.

INDIAN RAILWAYS announced dates for RRB NTPC and other posts


RRB(Railway Recruitment Board) will conduct online exam for NTPC, Ministerial Categories post and Group D from 15 December 2020 onwards. Finally the wait for almost 2.4 crore students is over as Chairman of Railway board has announded the dates for these exams through Video conferencing. The detailed schedule will be announced very soon. Railway Minister Mr. Piyush Goyal confirm the same on his twitter handle.


Indian Railways had notified 3 types of vacancies. These were 35208 for NTPC (non technical popular categories like guards, office clerks, commercial clerks etc), 1663 for Isolated & Ministerial categories (Steno & Teaches etc) and 103769 for Level 1 vacancies (track maintainers, pointsman etc). In all RRBs had notified a total of 1.40 lakh such vacancies for NTPC categories, Level-1 Posts and isolated and miscellaneous categories.

The criterion for PET are as follows-
Male candidate: Should be able to lift and carry 35 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down ; and Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.
Female Candidate: Should be able to lift and carry 20 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down; and Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.


Syllabus

a. Mathematics: Number system, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Square root, Age Calculations, Calendar & Clock, Pipes & Cistern etc. 

b. General Intelligence and reasoning Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical operations, Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and Decision making, Similarities and Differences, Analytical Reasoning, Classification, Directions, Statement – Arguments and Assumptions etc. 

c. General Science The syllabus under this shall cover Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences of 10th standard level (CBSE). 

d. General Awareness on current affairs in Science & Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economics, Politics and any other subject of importance.
